Have you at some time found yourself under extreme pressure? Have there been episodes in your life when you were so burdened by tasks and responsibilities that there was simply no breathing space to prepare for your service to God?

That was the experience of a pastor by the name of A. J. Gossip. During one hectic week, he didn’t have his customary amount of time to prepare his sermon. As he walked to his pulpit that Sunday morning, he felt guilty about the scanty sermon notes in his hand. It seemed that the Lord was asking him, “Is this the best you could do for Me this week?” And Gossip honestly replied, “Yes, Lord, it is my best.” He told a friend later that Jesus took that ill-prepared piece of work and in His hands “it became a trumpet” to his congregation.

The apostle Paul encouraged the Thessalonians to give their all for God (1 Thess. 5:14-22). They were to exhort, warn, comfort, rejoice, pray, and express their gratitude to God—among other things. We too should always do our best in our Christian life and service. But when pressure-periods come and we just don’t have the time we feel we need, we should do the best we can and then prayerfully trust God’s faithfulness (v.24). — Vernon C. Grounds

Inspired

Talked to Si Kai Ge for quite some time after school today
Knew more abt Yf history and how dey run Yf in the past
I am thinking of setting up a SWT(Students Worship Team)
I will try to look for ppl first ba
Den i will ask Cui fen jie
Actually i told her le, but then she asks me to pray abt it
And said that this is a different era, the prinicipal not as supportive now
And got the problem of finding ppl too
So i was thinking tt if i can find a few ppl who are zealous for God and are willing to serve God in this area, think i can will have a stronger stand and ask her again
Really want Yf to be more bonded and stronger
Hope that i can achieve that b4 i leave this school :P
I think if i'm unable to do it, i will come back and help too

Anyways, we celebrated Jeannie b'day today
It was quite successful bcos she only realises that we are celebrating for her when she see that the lights are switched off
Yeps... Ran down with Wei Jie to the bakery beside 85 at the last min
Cos i was only told today tt it was her b'day
and i was quite engrossed toking to Si kai ge
So i forgot abt it till wei jie reminded me again
HAHA... too bad for those who weren't there! Can't eat the cake... hehes

Study Group

Today had a small study group in counselling centre
It was not bad i must say
I think i starting the study group earlier ba
bcos paper 1 starts next week so must start earlier too
Furthermore, sec 4s have prelims.
Study group starts after school everyday starting from now :)

Celeste and su huai- almuni's head (in charge of the alumnis)
Wei Jie: Chairman
Ying Ting: Vice-chairman
Wei Jie: Functions and Sai Gang
Mei Yi: Welfare
Jeannie: Secretary and Treasurer
Yan hui: Unknown( will be decided next time)

Cui fen jie will be looking for lvl heads
And the committee members will be hunting for sub comms!!!
So watch out and run from them!!! jkjk

We are having a study group from 16 sept to forget already(shld be 2 weeks after)
Then we will be having a post exam activity!!! YEAH!!!
We haven't decide on where to go and what to play yet...
it will be discussed in the next meeting
SO meanwhile, u all can voice out ur ideas in the taggy board!
